Grains trading slightly higher this morning with corn up a penny and soybeans 3 cents higher. Markets are expected to be quiet as traders await the USDA report at 11 a.m. today. Analysts expect corn and bean yields to take further, small steps lower which are expected to cause both production and stocks to fall slightly. However, this is nothing to distract from the massive expected carryout and production totals. Typically this report is pretty neutral as harvest is still going on in many parts of the corn belt.
We will put out another message after the WASDE report later this morning.
The Midwest is expected to get snow tonight/tomorrow, looks like winter is creeping up on us!
