Opening Calls:

Corn steady to +1

Soybeans +3 to 4

Grain markets are starting the week on a higher note after some good gains last Friday. Weather outlook is dry today and tomorrow with a system moving in Tuesday night that could bring some light rains.

This afternoon’s Crop Progress and Conditions Report is likely to show corn harvest 64-68% complete, with soybean harvest is expected to come in at 70-73% complete. The trade will be watching this morning’s export shipments report to see if we are continuing to move corn. The September dollar index is trading higher this morning and the Dec crude oil contract is trading slightly lower.

Keep in mind that you can get the latest information on the markets once a week on the Landus Cooperative Experience podcast, featuring the Bull Bear Banter.
