Corn 1 to 2 Higher
Soybeans 6 to 7 Lower
Corn is trading slightly up this morning while beans are trading lower. U.S. corn sales last week were strong at 54.5 million bushels. Soybean sales last week of 33.7 million bushels were slightly above market expectations, but were sharply below last year’s sales of 85.9 million bushels at this same time.
The September dollar index and November crude oil are both trading higher this morning.
The U.S. EPA reported Thursday that domestic ethanol blending credits reached 1.35 billion in August, which was slightly below July’s total of 1.37 billion. Another 345 million biodiesel blending credits were generated last month, versus 310 million in July.
