Corn: steady to 1 higher
Beans: 1-2 lower
The market is rebounding a little in corn after yesterday’s report. Traders are still in shock with the big corn crop that the USDA came out with; everyone is still digesting report and the 181 bpa corn yield that was published. China is still trying to find beans from other countries besides the U.S. News wires are reporting China has accepted the offer from the U.S. to join in trade negotiations. Brazil and China recently came to an agreement to purchase 10-12 cargoes for the October thru November time slot. Until a resolution is completed between the U.S. and China, markets will remain under pressure.
Other news: For the first time since 1973, the United States is the world's largest producer of crude oil, according to preliminary estimates published on Wednesday by the Energy Department.
Thoughts & prayers to the folks on the Southeast Coast- Hurricane Florence is bearing down on the Carolinas and is expected to make landfall later today. The storm has been downgraded to a category two.
