Soybeans: 3 cents higher
Grains mixed this morning as Pro Farmer Crop Tour continues to report higher yields. Iowa corn yield estimated at 188.2 bpa, up from 179.8 bpa last year and the 3-yr average of 182.7. The tour pegged IA’s bean pod count at 1,209 and up from last year’s 1,092.9 and the 3-yr average of 1,178.8. Minnesota corn yield at 178.7 bpa, down from last year’s 191.5 and compares to the 3-yr average of 188.2 bpa. The bean pod count came in at 1,090.5, up from 1,020 last year and the 3-yr average of 1,082.3. Final crop tour results will be released after today’s market close.
Trade talks with China ended without a resolution- tariffs of 25% on $16 billion worth of goods took effect.
