Good morning!

Opening trade:

Corn steady to up 1c

Soybeans 6c lower

Grains mixed this morning with corn steady and soybeans 6 cents lower.  No fresh news in the marketplace this morning so far- many traders waiting for headlines on any updates from renegotiations with China and US regarding the trade tariffs.  Something interesting about pork this morning-  China has ordered the world’s largest pork producer, WH Group Ltd, to shut a major slaughterhouse as authorities scramble to stop the spread of the African swine fever. This is the 2nd outbreak in the world’s largest herd in two weeks, pushing hog prices lower and stirring fears of additional outbreaks.

Reminder:  Price later contracts expire today at 1pm!
