Corn up 2
Yesterday, the July corn contract closed 5 1/2 lower, settling at $3.78 1/4, and December closed 4 1/4 lower at $3.99 3/4. The July bean contract lost 7 cents settling at $9.94 1/4, and November was also 7 lower settling at $10.13 1/2. There is not much fresh news to report as corn and beans fell yesterday, as the general belief is crop got planted and growing areas are showing favorable rain forecast for the next two weeks. Also, there is no trade resolution with China, Mexico, and Canada. Without a resolution, the market is watching the forecast for July pollination.
Don’t forget July Extended Price Contracts are due on June 20th.
