Beans: 8 cents higher
Grains mixed this morning as it appears beans are still on the rebound especially after yesterday’s USDA report that showed a somewhat surprising ending stocks cut in soybeans. Focus now turns to U.S. weather - which, in the short term, remains bullish. Planting progress (or lack of it) will also be closely monitored in the next 4 weeks. Field work has begun in many areas but planting is scarce anywhere north of Kansas or Missouri. There’s plenty of work to get caught up on – hopefully mother nature gives us the window we need.
Export sales this morning:
120,000 tons of beans sold to Argentina in 18/19
141,518 tons of beans sold to Mexico in 18/19
