Beans slightly higher
Happy 1st day of Spring!
Corn is unchanged over night and beans and wheat are higher.
Wheat is getting support from yesterday’s crop conditions reports. Wheat continues to deteriorate and 6-10 day forecast is calling for little or no rain in the areas that need it the most. In Oklahoma, 5% of the crop is good to excellent and 66% is rated poor to very poor. Similar ratings in Kansas and Texas.
The U.S. Federal Reserve meetings kick off today. Trade will be watching to see if they are going to increase interest rates higher than current expectations.
March 29th is the planting intentions report and quarterly stocks reports. While this report generally tends to set the tone for a good period of time, the fact that it is ahead of a 3 day weekend could also add some volatility. Look for trade to start looking for estimates which are slowly starting to be publicized.
Final member town hall meeting is tomorrow, Wednesday, in Templeton at 11 a.m. RSVP here: www.landuscooperative.com/news_release/member-meeting-registration
