Corn steady to 1 higher
Beans 1 to 2 higher
Grains markets were mixed over night with wheat giving back some gains, while the corn market was slightly higher. Ethanol production expectations in this morning WASDA report are expected to show slight decline and export sales should be supportive. Ongoing concerns about South America has rain coming this weekend and dry but cooler weather will dominate the region for most of next week. Reduced acres in U.S. will likely keep corn supported. The dollar is trading higher and the energy markets are lower. These factors along with growing carryout stocks make it difficult to sustain rallies in the soybean market.
USDA WASDE and weekly export sales reports are due out this morning at 11AM.
Next week our member meetings kick off on Monday.
