Opening Calls:

Corn steady to down 1

Soybeans down 3-5

Wheat down 4-6

Markets traded lower overnight. Main reason is that the weather forecast for Brazil has changed and now they are forecasting heavy rains. Also, there may be some month-end liquidating.

If we look at what happened this month so far in futures; nearby corn is almost a dime higher, beans are up over 30 cents and wheat is also up over 30 cents.

Iowa Power Farm Show is today and tomorrow at the Iowa Event Center in Des Moines. Landus Cooperative is booth 729. Stop by to talk to one of our grain marketing or learn more about our precision services.

Averaging contracts are available on old crop corn and beans against July futures and new crop corn and beans for fall 2018, this is a great marketing tool! Talk to your GMA today.
