Grains are opening mixed this morning with corn steady and soybeans higher. With the holiday, it is really quiet as far as headlines are concerned. We did get news of a good export sale this morning- 134,150 tons of corn sold to Mexico for 2017/18. Traders continue to watch South American weather; Argentina has been receiving some precipitation lately but still has a dry long-term outlook. Here in the US our precipitation will start being something to watch as well, with the Corn Belt much behind average.
In the outside markets, the US dollar is lower which could be supporting grains as well.
Beans: 7 cents higher
Several locations will begin opening Free Price Later this week AS SPACE PERMITS.
