Corn steady to down 1
Beans Steady to down 1
Morning markets are steady to slightly lower this a.m., corn and beans are both steady to down 1. Combination of the harvest yields and river transportation issues are hurting the corn basis and freight rates have spiked sharply higher. Weather is calling for precipitation to be above normal across the Corn Belt in the 5 day forecast. The next 48 hours could see some areas in IA, MO, IL and WI anywhere from 1 to 3 inches.
EIA Ethanol production and inventory report will be released this morning. Argentine planting is on a pace well behind last year and Brazil is still dry and will remain dry for next couple of weeks.
On a lighter note, Happy GOOD BUDDY DAY!
I was going to say make sure to hug your favorite trucker, but I’ll leave it up to you, as to how to show your appreciation for your truck driver(s).
10/4 Good Buddy!
Seriously, from all of us at Landus Cooperative, a special thank you to everyone involved in the transportation industry. The ag industry is heavily dependent on the safe and efficient use of transportation, and we appreciate all that they do to keep things flowing smoothly.
