Corn up 1 to 2 cents
Soybeans up 2 to 3 cents
The corn market closed 5 ¼ to 5 ¾ cents lower yesterday, but are up again this morning. Trade seems content to stay where it is ahead of the report Tuesday morning. Ethanol sales have been solid, a positive for the market. We are seeing resistance for the December contracts, and it will take a friendly report to change that.
Soybean contracts closed 1 ¼ to 2 ¼ cents lower yesterday, with no news to encourage prices upward. The CFTC report this afternoon will give us a better idea of exactly how much moving the funds have done since late last week.
