Grains lower yet again this morning after a dull trading session last week. Corn prices tumbled another 10 cents for the week. This morning the radar is showing strong rains moving throughout most of Iowa, which is something we haven’t seen in a while. That is pressuring our commodities. These showers are probably a little too late for the bulk of the corn crop, but hopefully providing soybeans with a much-needed drink.
Pro Farmer Crop Tour begins today. This is a highly publicized event that many will be watching. Highly variable yield checks are expected especially as the tour progresses into Iowa later this week. Weekly crop conditions report will be released at 3 p.m. today. Corn and soybean conditions are expected to improve.
Join us at 8:30 a.m. tomorrow, August 22nd, for our Research Plot Showcase in Farnhamville where we evaluate, demonstrate and ground-truth return on investments, cultural practices, and management strategies!
