Opening calls:
Corn +10 to +12
Beans +12 to +14
The weekly crop progress and crop condition rating report showed 64% of the corn crop rated good/excellent and 61% of the soybean crop rated good/excellent, both a 1% decline from last week. Interesting, the biggest drop in individual ratings
was seen in Iowa where corn ratings dropped 6% and bean ratings dropped 4%.
The market is trading higher this morning as the weather market is back in business. The weather models are not calling for much relief either with high temperatures and little rain in the 10 day forecast for the Midwest. The dollar is
also supporting our markets- breaking to a fresh 1-year low.
Have a great day! Try to stay cool out there.
