Markets were mixed in the overnight session with corn down a penny and soybeans up a couple cents. Our market space found some support early yesterday from a good export sales report. Attention this morning will focus around the jobs and unemployment figures which can influence the currency markets and change money flow into/out of the commodity sphere. Traders continue to weigh impacts of trade negotiations and policies of the new administration. South American weather continues to be favorable with timely rains forecasted over the weekend for some of the drier areas. China returns to the market today after their Lunar New Year Holiday and their activity will be watched closely.
Corn penny lower
Soybeans 1-2 cents higher
