Soybeans are leading the charge higher overnight thanks to continues strong demand along with some concerning heavy rainfall. Northern IA and Southern MN got 1-3” of rain overnight (with more coming) and when you look at the forecast (7-day precip map is below) you see heavy rains coming for Eastern KS through Missouri/Southern Iowa/Illinois. This should keep a bid under beans as whispers of harvest delays and even crop loss creep across the trade.

Nothing much else going on today, the outside markets are mostly mixed although the $US is setting up as a friendly input after it collapsed yesterday – now trading below all of the major moving averages.

Opening Calls

Corn 1 to 3 cents higher

Soybeans 8 to 12 cents higher

Have a great day!
