Our markets are quiet and mixed this morning after both corn and soybean futures logged a few small gains early on last night.  Wheat futures are still trading higher as I type this and if that continues into the day session it could drag corn up with it.  As we discussed yesterday, with the reports out Thursday morning it could be hard to truly drive these markets one way or the other.  It may be wise for producers to take a hard look at prices (old crop and new crop) ahead of the report.  Since March 1, corn has gained 10-15 cents while soybeans have gained around 50 cents.  While no one knows what the reports will say… selling corn/beans on this rally for either post-spring or fall delivery could be a good way to alleviate risk.

Opening Calls

Corn 1 to 2 cents lower

Soybeans steady/mixed

Have a great day!
