Corn and soybean futures are both a touch lower heading into today’s trading session. Fundamentally, South America received some nice rains over the weekend, which opened the door for beans to trend lower. Outside markets also are pressuring grains, as crude oil is down $1/barrel, US equities are lower to start the day, and the US $ is posting early gains so far.
Trade volume is expected to be slower this week, as both South America and China will be out of the office celebrating national holidays.
Corn: 1-2 lower
Beans: 2-3 lower
Have a great day!
