The corn and soybean markets were lower last night, but they stayed in a relatively tight trading range. It is a surprisingly quiet start to the day in the outside markets with both the $US and crude oil trading a shade higher while the Dow is called mixed. What makes that surprising is that the Shanghai Composite was down over 6% last night (!!) and our markets (energy, currency, or financials) have yet to flinch. Will be interesting to see how things look as we get deeper into the day.
So overall today, we are taking cues from the outside markets as fundamental news is limited.
Corn steady to 1c lower
Soybeans 1 to 3 cents lower
Have a great day!
