It was a pretty quiet session last night with both corn and soybeans trading a touch softer in very narrow ranges.  It looks like corn put in a classic “Turn-around Tuesday” yesterday, closing 4.5c lower after posting 4.75c gains Monday.  Crude oil seemed to be dead weight on the market yesterday as crude pushed down to the lowest prices seen in the last 2 months.

For today, we will be watching for signs of export business (yesterday’s whispers of export soymeal business was enough to keep beans higher on the day for example), but without new fundamental news or a major shift in the outside markets, it looks to be a quiet, lower day.

Opening Calls

Corn 1 to 3 cents lower

Soybeans 2 to 4 cents lower

Have a great day!
