It was another quiet night overnight and if this price action holds, we are probably looking at another quiet day today.  The crop ratings released yesterday showed the good-to-excellent ratings in corn falling 1% while the G-E ratings in soybeans remained unchanged.  The Pro Farmer Crop Tour is inching another day closer to the center of the corn belt this week, and the big talking point from yesterday’s travels involved an estimated Ohio corn yield of 148.37 bpa while the USDA in August had them at 168.0 (!!)  While this could give the market a little support, it is not that surprising for Pro Farmer to come up with bullish news…

Opening Calls

Corn steady to 2 cents lower

Soybeans 5 to 10 cents lower

Have a great day!
