Both corn and soybeans made new highs for the move last night but have since then backed off a touch with corn trading a bit lower now and soybeans marginally higher.  The crop ratings yesterday showed soybeans dropping in the good-to-excellent categories while corn held steady.  Weather models are now reflecting a much needed change to the recent wet pattern from Missouri through the Eastern Belt with below normal precip showing up in the 6-10 and 8-14 day weather maps.  This drier weather is probably what is pressuring corn a bit (maps below).

Opening Calls

Corn down 1 to 3 cents

Soybeans 3 to 6 cents higher

Have a great day!
