The corn/soybean markets have started off this morning trading in mixed, narrow ranges on fairly light volume – as a general lack of market moving news continues.  The outside markets are fairly quiet – but they do look friendly with the $US lower and crude oil higher.  The trade talk appears stuck in a bit of a rut this morning, continuing to talk about the funds’ on-going short position as well as the large South American harvest. Nothing new or interesting there.  We may have to wait until next week to get some excitement – that is when the government will release their Quarterly Stocks report alongside the Prospective Plantings (aka Planting Intentions) report.  So far, acreage guesses have been all over the board for both corn and soybeans…

Opening Calls

Corn mixed

Soybeans steady to down 2c

Have a great day!
