  • GRAINS LEGGED LOWER LATE LAST WEEK, BUT HAVE RECOVERED SOMEWHAT THIS WEEK IN VOLATILE TRADE.  FEELING IS THAT WE MAY HAVE GONE LOW ENOUGH SHORT-TERM TO ESTABLISH FLOORS IN ENERGY AND GRAINS MARKETS.

  • MONTHLY USDA SUPPLY/DEMAND REPORT IS NEXT TUE FEB10 AND USDA OUTLOOK CONFERENCE IS LATER THIS MONTH.  WITH PRODUCTION PRETTY WELL SET, HAVE TO WATCH FOR ANY DEMAND ADJUSTMENTS.

  • WEEKLY ETHANOL PRODUCTION SHOWED THAT PRODUCTION SLOWED A BIT, STOCKS CONTINUE TO BUILD….APPROACHING 21BLN BARRELS.

  • NEWS THIS WEEK THAT BRAZIL INTENDS TO INCREASE THEIR INTERNAL ETHANOL % BLEND, AND MALAYSIA INCREASING INTERNAL BIODIESEL % BLEND.

  • PRODUCER SELLING REMAINS SLOW.

  • EPA SUPPOSEDLY GOING TO ANNOUNCE SOMETIME THIS SPRING ETHANOL BLEND REQUIREMENTS FOR 2014/2015/AND 2016.

  • OTHER KEY FACTORS THE NEXT 4-6 WEEKS WILL BE ACREAGE INTENTIONS AND EARLY SPRING WEATHER.
