With today being Columbus Day, government offices are closed which means reports are delayed and generally speaking news is limited.  So far this morning Columbus Day is also bringing quiet ‘price action’ with both corn and soybeans hovering around Friday’s close as I type this.  The weather forecasts look great later this week and all of next which could pressure prices throughout the week this week.  (The 6-10 and 8-14 day precip maps are below).  This of course should allow harvest to progress quickly, potentially putting pressure on not only U.S. logistics/freight but U.S. cash basis as well as parts of the country struggle to get this crop under a roof.

Opening Calls

Corn steady to 1c higher

Soybeans steady to 1c higher

Have a great day!
