It definitely feels like fall here in Central Iowa this morning. Overcast skies and cooler weather are preparing the way for some forecasted rain moving in later this afternoon in Western Iowa. Local harvest progress has been spotty; most fields are reportedly just still too wet. The market is also in a bit of a holding pattern as we wait for the Quarterly Stocks Report from the USDA released this morning at 11:00. Corn is even to slightly lower and soybeans are 4 to 6 cents lower. Look for futures to remain lower this morning. The market will likely remain quiet until the report is released. We’ve got some additional pressure from big yield reports that continue to pour in and a sharply higher dollar index.

Have a good day!
