The corn and soybean markets made an attempt to trade steady last night, but as of 7:45am today they were both continuing the trend from yesterday and were trading lower.  The soybean market is still in somewhat of a free-fall thanks to yesterday’s acreage report while the corn market is having a hard time finding buyers with ideal weather forecasts for most of the corn belt.  It is interesting and fun for the media to discuss the localized flooding and hail that has taken place in parts of the NW belt – but overall crop potential for the U.S. still looks great.

Opening Calls

Corn 4 to 6 cents lower

Soybeans 8 to 15 cents lower

Have a great day!
