Grain Department

Farmers Cooperative Co. (FC) is the largest local cooperative grain marketer in Iowa. FC has 40 grain receiving elevators located across the membership area. Over 118,000,000 bushels of grain are handled annually, comprised of 95,000,000 bushels of corn and 23,000,000 bushels of soybeans. FC also has grain storage of 75,000,000 bushels.

Our strength in numbers gives 5,800 FC members grain marketing muscle. Farmers that deliver grain to FC locations can count on access to more than one railroad and multiple end-users.

Having 40 grain receiving locations gives FC the ability to ship grain on seven major railroads in Iowa. FC emphasizes building efficient shuttle-train loading systems along with high-speed receiving pits at locations.

At Farmers Co-op, we are constantly working to develop new markets and find the best deals for our grain customers.
