ADMINISTRATION

Administration

FC’s Administration Department is headed up by the Vice President of Administration and CFO, Mark Miner. Functional areas within FC Administration include Accounting, Credit, Human Resources (HR), Information Technology (IT), and Quality Management.

Accounting

The Accounting Department at FC is structured by the products we sell. Product Accountants for Grain, Feed, Agronomy, Seed, and Transportation all report to the Corporate Controller, Warren LaRue. FC also has a corporate accounting branch, which is made up by the Accounting Manager and three more full-time accountants.

Credit

The Credit Manager and support staff coordinate credit investigations and collecting delinquent accounts of customers. The Credit Manager also establishes credit limits, assigns responsibility for legal action, manages difficult customer situations, and formulates credit policies.

Human Resources (HR)

All of FC’s HR functions are carrier out by two people. Lori Herrstrom, Human Resources Director, is in charge of payroll, new hire paperwork, affirmative action compliance, benefit administration, maintaining personnel records, identifying HR legal requirements, and developing training materials. Holly Knobbe, Human Resources Coordinator, is in charge of FC’s intern programs, facilitating employee reviews, and other special personnel projects.

Information Technology (IT)

Currently, our IT Department staff consists of seven full-time employees. Three members of the IT staff work with programming, AS400 administration, and project coordination using tools that include RPG, ILE, Java, Websphere, I-Series Environment, and DB2. We also have three IT staff members devoted to supporting our PCs, server, network, Help Desk, databases, and phones with Windows Server 2003, Microsoft SQL, Windows XP, Nortel, and Watchguard Security Software technologies.

Having the most up-to-date technological capabilities like Electronic Data Exchange and top-notch IT staff allows FC to keep on the cutting edge of the ag industry and helps us to better serve our customers.

Quality Management Systems (QMS)

FC is committed to Quality! Our Quality Policy is: TOTAL CUSTOMER SATISFACTION THROUGH OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE! Today the QMS Department is run by the Quality Management Systems Manager. A Management Trainee and several part-time Internal Quality Auditors support the QMS Manager. The Internal Quality Auditor positions are filled internally as added job functions of current FC employees. The QMS Department is responsible for developing, implementing, and sustaining FC’s ISO 9001:2000 registered Quality Management Systems and other internally developed Quality Management Systems. QMS is essentially a support to effective and efficient grain, feed, and agronomy operations.
