A native Iowan, Roger grew up on a farm in northern Iowa and graduated from Iowa Lakes Community College with a degree in Ag Business.  Roger has spent his entire career working in farm supply and grain cooperatives, with the last 30 years as a general manager.  Roger began his career at FC in 1992 as the Chief Executive Officer.  He currently serves as a board member of Associated Benefits Corporation and United Services Association.

 Roger and his wife Lyn have three grown daughters and reside in Jefferson, Iowa.

MARK MINER
MARK MINER
Sr. Vice President & CFO

Mark began his career in 1976 in operations and sales, working for his family owned business, Miner Farm Supply, which was an agronomy facility.  Later in 1986 his family sold the business to Mid Iowa Coop where Mark stayed on as the Assistant Manager; later relocating to Earlham, IA as the Location Manager.  In 1996 Mark moved to the FC - Farnhamville location and began working as a Financial Analyst.  Mark took on his current role, Chief Financial Officer/Vice President of Administration in 2002.

Mark and his wife Cherlyn have 2 daughters and reside in Perry, Iowa.

Sr. Vice President - Grain Marketing and Logistics

Jon received his bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Science from the University of Illinois in 1987. He began his career with The Pillsbury Company and then transitioned to the Peavey Grain Co., a division of ConAgra in a variety of origination, trading, and management positions. Jon began his career with FC in 1996 as grain merchandiser, and he is currently our Sr. Vice President - Grain Marketing and Logistics. Jon served on the National Grain & Feed Association Board of Directors and was active on several committees within the organization. He has also served on the Grain Inspection Packers & Stockyards Association (GIPSA) advisory committee as a member and past chairman.

Jon is a native of Geneseo, IL and currently resides in Fort Dodge, IA with his wife Bridgett and their 3 children.

Marvin Hodgson

Sr. Vice President of Grain Operations

Marvin is the Senior Vice President of Grain Operations. Marvin brings over 20 years of Ag industry experience to the company. His background includes significant experience in commodity risk management, grain originations, operations management, business development and facility growth management. He has held positions with large regional grain, ethanol and Fortune 500 companies such as Pilgrim’s Pride Corporation, Panda Energy and Panda Ethanol, The Andersons, Inc., and Cargill Nutrena Feeds. Marvin is a graduate of Texas A&M University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Economics in 1992.

Marvin lives in the Ankeny area with his wife, Marla and son, Zachary. His office is in Ames.

Ray Carpenter

Sr. Vice President of Agronomy
Ray was born in Ohio and graduated from The Ohio State University in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture. In July of 1991, he joined Purina Mills. Ray has held various manufacturing and operational roles over the past 19 years with Land O’ Lakes Purina Feed LLC. Most recently, his role was Manufacturing Operations Manager with LOLPF, where he was responsible for 24 plants located in Minnesota, Wisconsin, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, Iowa, Illinois, and Indiana. Ray came to FC in June of 2010 as the Senior Vice President of Feed.  He has since transitioned to the Senior Vice President of Agronomy.

Ray resides in the Ames area with his wife, Katie, and their two daughters.
CHRIS PEARSON

Chief Operating Officer

Chris grew up on a diversified farming operation in southwest Iowa.  He graduated from Iowa State University in 1999 with his Bachelors Degree in Agriculture.  Chris began his career with FC in the fall of 2000.  In 2002, he was promoted to Vice President and Feed Division Manager.  Chris was promoted to Sr. Vice President - Agronomy & Feed January 2008. He is currently serving FC as our Chief Operating Officer. 

Chris and his wife Rachel have 5 children and reside in Carroll, Iowa.

Sr. Vice President - Feed

Ron received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Feed Science and Management from Kansas State University in 1993.  He has held various feed operations management positions ranging from plant manager of a single location, to overseeing multiple locations spanning several states.  Ron has supervised the construction of new mills as well as rebuilding older facilities to make them productive again.  Companies he has worked for include Murphy Family Farms – North Carolina, Choctaw Maid Farms, Inc. – Mississippi, Heartland Pork Enterprises, Inc. – Iowa, and Murphy-Brown, LLC – Iowa.  Ron came to FC in February 2011 as Vice President of Feed Operations and transitioned to Senior Vice President of Feed in September 2011.

Ron resides in Ankeny, Iowa with his wife Christie and son Ethan.
