FC Corporate Giving
FC is dedicated to supporting the communities we serve and in which our employees live, work and volunteer. Your organization or program should exist in or serve a community near one of FC’s facilities to be eligible to apply of a grant. Please refer to the FC system map included in the Policies and Guidelines section to determine whether you are located near an FC facility.
While FC is proud to support many causes, it is not possible for us to fund every request that comes to us.
Grants
Generally, we will consider requests for funding that clearly fall within one or more of the following categories, although a clear fit does not guarantee that your organization will be funded:
-
Civic services including organizations which are concerned with local community issues such as community development or parks and recreation.
-
Educational institutions, both public and private. Preferably, contributions will be directed toward the development of young people with an interest in a career in ag business.
-
Health and Human Service organizations such as local hospitals, youth recreational programs or local community facilities that promote the health of the community.
-
Currently FC funds several scholarships for incoming freshman enrolled in Ag Business at Iowa State University. These scholarships are directed by Iowa State University. FC does not select the winners.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is your deadline for applying?
FC employs an open application system. You may apply at any time. However we strongly urge you to allow enough time for the process to work at its best, which would be 1 – 3 months.
How often does FC make its granting decisions?
The Grant Review Team meets monthly to consider requests.
How long will it be before I know the status of my application?
Our process generally takes 1 – 3 months, depending upon whether we need more information, and the ongoing daily work at FC. We ask that you refrain from contacting FC during the processing period unless you have additional information you feel is pertinent such as updated financials or budgets.
How often may I apply?
You may apply once per calendar year, whether you have received a grant or been declined. The only exception to this is if you have been invited by FC to reapply.
How much should I apply for? Is there a maximum amount that FC will award?
FC has no limit on the amount for which you may apply. However, generally, our grants fall within $1,000 - $5,000 range. Each FC location has a donation budget to help fund local community grants of less than $250. You may request a grant of less than $250 at the FC location near you. If you would like FC to consider making a major gift, please contact us at the address provided under the Contact Us tab.
How do I contact FC for a grant?
The appropriate contact information is listed under the Contact Us tab.
How may I learn of the status of my application?
You will be notified as to the outcome of your application as soon as a decision is made. We ask that you refrain from contacting FC during the processing period unless you have additional information you feel is pertinent such as updated financials or budgets, or if you have been waiting longer than 3 months.
